Joshua Benrubi is an Associate at McDonald Hopkins, practicing across the firm’s Litigation, Business, and Real Estate Groups.

He regularly helps contractors and owners navigate breach-of-contract claims, resolve lien issues, and mitigate project risks before they escalate to the courtroom.
On the transactional side, Joshua has experience in handling commercial finance matters and construction contract negotiations. He works with clients assisting with contract drafting, due diligence, and the preparation of closing documentation. Joshua also has experience in sports and entertainment law, having negotiated a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal to assist a collegiate basketball athlete in transferring from one school to another.
Joshua joined McDonald Hopkins after serving as an associate at a New York City law office specializing in residential real estate, representing and counseling purchasers and sellers through various aspects of cooperative, condominium and townhouse transactions within the city’s five boroughs.
Joshua received his B.S. from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business Administration, with a minor in Real Estate. He went on to study at New York Law School on a Global Law Fellow Scholarship, completing his J.D. in May 2021.
